Effect | Makes enemies fall slower |
Parachutes appear in the Super Mario franchise as objects that are attached to enemies to make them fall slower.
Parachutes first appear in Super Mario World, where there are two enemies that have them: Parachute Galoombas and Parabombs. Both show up in various other games. There are two variants of the Parabomb, those being Glad Parabombs from Super Princess Peach and Paper Macho Bob-ombs that appear in Paper Mario: The Origami King. In Super Mario Maker 2, almost every enemy can be given a parachute, resulting in many more parachuting enemies besides the variants of the Galoombas and Bob-ombs.
