The Mad Adder is a giant mechanical snake and Domino's pet that lives in the Weapon World in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. The Mad Adder's name is a pun on the name of the Mad Hatter, a character from the book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. "Adder" also refers to any kind of venomous snake.
The Mad Adder's main attack is poisoning Mario and his allies, and it exclusively uses magic attacks. During the battle with Domino and his partner, Cloaker, if Cloaker is defeated first, Domino retreats and electronically fuses with the Mad Adder.
The Mad Adder is a pink palette swap of Bad Adder, Cloaker's snake, with which it, Cloaker, and Domino share the last part of their Japanese names "link."
