The Clerk is a high-ranking member of the Smithy Gang and the weakest supervisor of the assembly lines of Smithy's Factory in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and its Nintendo Switch remake. He has the lowest rank of the management staff, as he is below the Manager, the Director, the Factory Chief, and Smithy himself. The Clerk is in charge of the production schedules of the Factory. During battle, the Clerk wields a large axe that resembles the Blade. He also has two Mad Mallet guards for protection.
