Variant of Paragoomba
Gloomba

Paragloombas are winged versions of Gloombas that appear in the first two Paper Mario games, acting analogous to Paragoombas. Like all Gloombas, they are found exclusively in dark, moist, underground areas. Like normal Paragoombas, they will lose their wings if jumped on.

History[edit]

Paper Mario[edit]

In Paper Mario, Paragloombas are only found in Toad Town Tunnels with the other Gloombas. They act like normal Paragoombas both on the overworld and in battle, but have many more hit points and twice as many attack points.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door[edit]

Paragloombas are found in floors 11-19 of the Pit of 100 Trials in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. They are now slightly stronger, but otherwise act mostly the same. A running gag in their in-game biographies for this game is suggesting their wings may be moldy. Additionally, when tattling them, Goombella incorrectly states they are a stronger version of a "Parakoopa" rather than a Paragoomba in the English localization; this is fixed in the Nintendo Switch remake.
