The Shroom City Royal Palace, known as the Snif City Royal Hotel during the Snifits' takeover, is a luxurious resort located in Shroom City in Paper Mario: The Origami King and is its major landmark. Mario and Olivia come here in search of someone who can interpret the ancient texts in the Scorching Sandpaper Desert.

Layout

The first room in the hotel is a pool with a fountain in the center. The room is decorated with palm trees and a pair of Snifit statues. Lounging chairs surround the pool, and a DJ Snifit can be found in one corner. Two storage rooms are on either side of the pool room, and the one on the left has a valve which can turn off the fountain.

Directly after the pool room is the main lobby, with the front desk at the far end. The hotel clerk stands here, and he has the Sun Incense required for the Sun Altar in the desert. There are two hallways to the left and right of the front desk, both of which have a pair of doorways leading to the Basique™ rooms (one of which Professor Toad is staying in, and requires a key to unlock). Four murals depicting the chronicles of the ancient ruler King Shroomses decorate the back walls of each room.

A staircase leads up to a second floor with a master suite at the far end, which Luigi is supposedly staying at. The hallway leading to the master suite displays a mural showing how to reveal the entrance to the Temple of Shrooms. The door leading to the master suite requires a specific key to unlock. This room contains a comfortable two-room arrangement, and the back wall of the room shows the last part of the mural, which depicts the song needed to reveal the entrance to the Fire Vellumental Cave.
