Peril is a status effect that appears in Paper Mario, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (and its Nintendo Switch remake), and Super Paper Mario. It occurs when Mario or any of his partners goes down to exactly one HP, causing a bubble with the word "Peril" to begin flashing next to them.
