The InterChet, Super Paper Mario

The InterChet is a character in Super Paper Mario. He is a large cube who runs the Flipside Arcade. His name is a portmanteau of "Internet" and the name "Chet." He offers a variety of games that Mario and his party can play to win various prizes. He also runs the rewards center, the same way Lahla did in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Both Tippi and Tiptron state that almost nothing is known about The InterChet and that he is "literally a black box," though some of his quotes suggest that he is a con artist. He is responsible for creating The InterNed. His Catch Card states that he "invented The InterNed"; this may be a reference to a popular misquote of Al Gore.

Tattle[edit]

  • "That's The InterChet... This arcade owner's face is square, but his personality is round. I don't know exactly what he really is... His whole being is a mystery... He's literally a black box..."

Catch Card[edit]

Card type: Uncommon
Card description: This owner of the arcade is a video-game savant. The arcade doesn't earn a lot of money... He invented The InterNed.
