The Parthenon (in Greek: Παρθενών, Parthenó̱n) is a temple of Athena, goddess of Athens. Luigi visits this temple when he travels to Athens during the events of Mario is Missing!. Like all the other cities appearing in the game, Athens was invaded by Koopa Troopas who were stealing artifacts from various landmarks. In Athens, they also stole one of the forty-six Parthenon Columns. In order to save his brother Mario from Bowser, Luigi had to return the artifact to the Parthenon (and prove its authenticity by answering two questions about the Parthenon). Upon completing this task he was rewarded 1,500 dollars (plus a bonus of 3,000 dollars if he returned it first).
