“Victoria Terminus is Bombay's biggest railway station, dating from the peak of British rule. The terminal was named for the British monarch, Queen Victoria. Referred to locally as V.T., the station handles 900 trains daily and moves 1,000,000 passengers a day (yes, a million!). One side of the massive Victorian Gothic building houses the electric trains while the other houses the transcontinental steam-powered trains. Built in 1878 of sandstone and granite, it was completed in 1887.”

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, referred to as Victoria Terminus in the game, was the first terminal station built in Bombay, India constructed by F. W. Stevens, a British architect. In the PC versions of Mario is Missing!, a Koopa Troopa stole the train ticket from the train station, forcing the station to close until Luigi returns it.
