Tian An Men Square in DOS and CD-ROM Deluxe versions.
“Tian An Men Square is in the center of Beijing. It became the largest public square in the world when it was expanded from 27 to 98 acres in 1949. The square's name, which means "Gateway of Heavenly Peace," comes from the huge gateway which borders its north side. The Monument to the People's Heroes is a granite obelisk that shows Chinese people who fought and died for their country. At its base is a plaque inscribed with Mao Zedong's words using his personal Chinese characters.”

Tian An Men Square (Simplified Chinese: 天安门广场; Traditional Chinese: 天安門廣場; Pinyin: Tiān'ānmén Guǎngchǎng; more commonly spelled Tiananmen Square) is a public area in Beijing that holds numerous notable structures, namely the Monument to the People's Heroes. Alongside the Tian An Men Square, the Great Wall of China, and the Temple of Heaven, it is one of the landmarks that gets attacked by Koopa Troopas in Mario is Missing! (although it only appears in the DOS and Deluxe versions). The Koopa Troopas run off with the entire Monument to the People's Heroes, and Luigi is asked to return it back to the square. He does just that, bringing it to the square's information booth.

Trivia[edit]

  • One of the questions' answers references Mickey Mouse (albeit mangled to "Mousie Mick", both as a play on "Mao Zedong" and as a presumed means of circumventing potential legal issues).
