The reporter is a recurring character in Mario is Missing!. She is depicted as an adult woman holding a corkboard clipped with papers; the NES version of the reporter does not hold any objects whatsoever.
Luigi can find the reporter in every country he goes to. Luigi can ask the reporter hints on the location Luigi is travelling to or ask him about the artifacts that Luigi is holding. In the PC versions, Luigi can also ask the reporter where he saw the nearby Koopa stating the cardinal or ordinal directions of the Koopa's location.
