Species Humans

Slick and Shorty are a group of characters appearing in the Saturday Supercade episode "The Ventriloquist Caper." During the episode, they plan to go on a crime spree by posing as Dandy Andy and his doll Andoo, with the real Dandy Andy getting the blame for their crimes.

They first appear as Donkey Kong Jr. and Bones Bailey arrive at the Golden Bridge Theatre in search of the Wrestling Gorilla, where they peek behind wall. Later, as Dandy Andy walks by them as he goes onstage, they throw a curtain over him and carry him into the basement. They then steal his and his doll's clothes and pose as them during their perforance, with Slick mentioning that it will be easy to steal jewelry while posing as Dandy Andy. They then steal the jewelry of several theatergoers and head off to a diamond exhibition at the San Francisco Hotel for their next heist, planning to steal the Regal Diamond, which is stored in a safe on the seventh floor.

As they run down a hallway while searching for the Regal Diamond, Bones and Donkey Kong Jr. follow them while disguised as potted flowers. These disguises are effective until Shorty sneezes on the flowers from their scent, revealing their ruse. They then promptly trap them in the flowerpots they disguised themselves as and throw them into an elevator. Slick then opens its control panel and flips the direction of the elevator several times, causing its cables to snap. However, Bones and Jr. escape when the latter bundles the former's pants into a rope and throws it onto a nail.

Near the safe where the Regal Diamond is stored in, Slicky manages to convince the guards to allow them to store Shorty in the safe room by claiming that his "doll" might be lost. In the safe room, Shorty steals the diamond and runs out, with Slick closing the door behind the guards as they enter. Just then, Jr. and Bones reach the floor, and the imposters promplty escape out a nearby window using suction cups, but their plan is foiled when Donkey Kong Jr. pushes out the window of the room he is in as they climb onto it, causing them to fall, though he later saves them by throwing a plunger tied to a rope down to the window they are on. The imposters plead for Jr. to not let go of the rope, which he agrees to provided that they return the Regal Diamond to its rightful place, and he pulls them into the room he is in. Slick and Shorty are not seen for the rest of the episode, though it is assumed they are arrested for their crimes.
