Variant of | Pokey Mummy |
Poison Pokeys are variation of Pokeys from the Paper Mario series, acting as a visual and functional replacement to the undead Pokey Mummies from the first Paper Mario. They attack like regular Pokeys, but are stronger and can induce poison.
History[edit]
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door[edit]
In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and its Nintendo Switch remake, Poison Pokeys are found at the Riverside Station and in floors 41-49 of the Pit of 100 Trials. Like normal Pokeys, they can summon more of them to the fight and are highly susceptible to burning. Likely due to their poisoning, they sometimes drop a Tasty Tonic when defeated so any poisoning can be cured.
Super Paper Mario[edit]
Poison Pokeys appear again in Super Paper Mario. They can be found in Castle Bleck and in the 85th room of the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials. They attack like regular Pokeys, flinging their body segments or hopping towards the player if they lose all their body segments. Poison Pokeys are more aggressive than normal Pokeys to the heroes and are found in large groups in this game. Since most healing items in this game also cure poison, however, they are ultimately less dangerous than before. Poison Pokeys sometimes drop Dried Shrooms, Fresh Veggies, Horsetails, Shroom Shakes, Peachy Peachs, and Catch Cards.

Tattle | That's a Poison Pokey. As you probably guessed, it's a poisonous Pokey. Max HP is 8, Attack is 4, and Defense is 0. If you get poisoned, your HP will slowly drain, so you may want to avoid that. I'm sure you can see this, but they have spines all over, so DON'T touch them. They may be smiling, but that doesn't mean they're happy to see you! |
