Edmond Halley, alternatively spelled Edmund Halley, was an English astronomer, geophysicst, mathematician, meteorologist and physicist. He was a member of the Royal Society most famous for his computation of the orbit of a comet that would be named in his honor. He is one of the historical personages that Mario interacts with in the SNES version of Mario's Time Machine.
