Christopher Charles Collins (born Christopher Lawrence Latta, August 30, 1949 – June 12, 1994) was an American actor and stand-up comedian. He was born in Orange, New Jersey on August 30, 1949 and died on June 12, 1994 due to illness. Christopher Collins is best known for voicing Cobra Commander and Gung-Ho in the Marvel/Sunbow and DiC series of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, Starscream in The Transformers as well as being the original voice of Moe Szyslak and Mr. Burns in Season 1 of The Simpsons.
He portrayed King Koopa in the live-action children's television show King Koopa's Kool Kartoons until his eventual firing. It has been claimed that he was accused of inappropriate behavior from fellow staff members. Allegedly, his eventual firing would occur due to an incident during the filming of an episode where his son was in attendance trying to collect candy with other audience members and an altercation occurred between the kids. Unverified claims state Collins began yelling at the young audience in defense of his son.[1] After he was fired, the role was given to Patrick Pinney.
