The Cup of Tea is an item in the PC and SNES releases of Mario's Time Machine. The tea is produced in India as a result of the country's British colonization. It is given to Mario by a Hindu priest inside of an Ashram in Calcutta, who gave it after mentioning how Great Britain wants India to buy their goods while also making India import their goods to Great Britain. Mario can then bring it to a nearby British judge, who had been previously complaining about how he wanted a spot of tea. Once the judge receives it, he thanks Mario and continues to talk about how much of a criminal and a rabble-rouser Mahatma Gandhi is.
