History

Mario is Missing!

Along with Athens, Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Paris, Sydney is one of the five cities in the SNES version of Mario is Missing! that Luigi has to visit in order to defeat the second boss of the game, Iggy Koopa. There are three landmarks — the Bondi Beach, the Taronga Zoo, and the Sydney Opera — from which artifacts were stolen by Koopa Troopas. In the PC version, a fourth landmark is added: the Sydney Harbor Bridge. If Luigi finds and returns the artifacts to their respective landmarks, he will be rewarded with money and finally the city will be rescued.
