Richter Belmont is a vampire hunter from the Castlevania series of games, and the son of Simon Belmont. He is set to be a playable fighter in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, appearing as an Echo Fighter of Simon. This means that although his moveset will be the same as Simon's, there will be alterations in his animations, voice, among other minimal things. Him and Simon were confirmed to be in the game via a Nintendo Direct that took place on August 5th, 2018.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Simon makes his Super Smash Bros. debut in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a third-party character, alongside fellow Konami characters Solid Snake and Simon Belmont, Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog and Bayonetta, Capcom’s Mega Man and Ryu, Bandai Namco’s Pac-Man, and Square Enix’s Cloud Strife. His various attacks involve him using his "Vampire Killer" whip. Simon's special attacks are Axe, an axe that is a powerful projectile; Holy Water, a magical, multi-hitting projectile dealing flame damage; Cross, a projectile with boomerang-eque properties; and Uppercut, a powerful uppercut that functions as Simon's recovery move. His Final Smash, Grand Cross, involves trapping players in a coffin and destroying it.
