About Nipper Dandelion[edit]
I know most of the other Piranha Plants were updated, but in the talk page, I mentioned that I wanted to have the Yoshi's Island DS guides checked before doing anything about it. LinkTheLefty (talk) 01:38, 31 January 2019 (EST)
- It's fine. It's just that Nipper Dandelion was previously determined to be conjectural, so if it's not from the guides, then I have reason to believe there's a fair chance it came from here. We'll cross that bridge when we get there I guess. LinkTheLefty (talk) 01:50, 31 January 2019 (EST)
Kid[edit]
The image of Kid, was it a JPG like Sherry's? If so, it should be uploaded separately as the JPG instead of over the GIF as we only allow the latter format if it's animated. Mario JC 19:51, 31 January 2019 (EST)
Art Archive[edit]
Given how much of a nightmare that site is to navigate, it would be immensely helpful if instead of linking to the site itself, you linked to the specific post. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 01:32, 2 February 2019 (EST)
- Additionally, these actually appear to be from the Super Mario USA Hishho Koryakuho guide, seen here, and not YKDDP. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 01:34, 2 February 2019 (EST)
- Talk to LTL about it. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:04, 2 February 2019 (EST)
Marking for deletion[edit]
It'd be helpful if you include an image link when marking an image for deletion when it gets replaced. That way we don't have to go searching for the replacement and take longer for the image to be deleted. 10:01, 2 February 2019 (EST)

Tense[edit]
Hi, how's it going? In regards to your initial creation of the Master Sword article, I just wanted to let you know that the wiki no longer allows future tense in any article, not even for subjects for upcoming releases, as per this proposal. Please keep this in mind for future reference. Thanks! (T|C) 08:28, December 3, 2019 (EST)
Re: you aree my inspkiration[edit]
Thanks bro, I've noticed you add a lot of Mario-related merchandise images & artworks over the past couple of years. For some reason the VG Art & Tidbits hasn't been thoroughly searched through. There was that proposal I made some time ago to encourage a broader merchandise coverage too (if the subject in question has enough info to justify as such). Maybe some time, me, you or somebody else can start making pages for the Nintendo Power promotional VHS's, because for a few years, I've found it weird that those haven't had pages yet. - I miss the 2000s -- I'm probably one of the youngest millennials out there (born in 1997). However, stuff has improved since then, such as less buggy computers, ability to display higher quality images on computers, more sourced info, larger wikis, and so forth. Also Wii U, Yooka-Laylee, and more prototype game releases. There's probably more I'm missing, but one of my biggest missions is to resurrect 2000s wiki magic (besides the writing LOL) and getting a Mario Wiki standard for more wikis (like how WiKirby has a unique community plus a handful of Mario Wiki users). Can't revisit the past but we can shape the future based on the past. I imagine you're not missing Geocities web pages from the 1990s either (although I used to have a guilty pleasure for those). - Oh yeah, one think I really don't like about the 2010s (and thus far 2020s) is the increase in corporate conglomerates online. Hardware-wise, things are more open source (as big tech has always had some sort of control on tech), but modern social media era has ruined things for me & drastically affects events in the real world. Kind of kills my childhood that they're discontinuing Flash as well, although Newgrounds has made an offline Flash player & there's big efforts to preserve flash games (e.g. Flashpoint), so that is definitely a good thing. Also, in 2000s, I spent time on Mario fansites too -- I pretty much didn't want to play anything unless it was Mario, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, or Wario lol Results May Vary (talk) 22:49, August 23, 2020 (EDT)
- Thank you for your hard work & dedication to Krunch, for real. He's so underrated & awesome. Also, do you play any other video game franchises? Results May Vary (talk) 19:41, August 30, 2020 (EDT)
- Aw man, can't lose interest in gaming! Even if busy maybe set time aside to still enjoy it :P. Yeah I was really annoyed that nobody made proper independent Rare wikis yet (smh), so I made Jiggywikki, Conker Wiki, and an overall Rare Wiki a reality. And yes, I agree that Rare's games are better than Nintendo's for the most part. Interestingly, Star Fox Adventures inspired me to have a go at a Zelda Wiki (Triforce Wiki), which is the first Zelda Wiki made by and for Mario fans. Results May Vary (talk) 19:54, August 30, 2020 (EDT)
- So if you were a little older, we could've had a very comprehensive independent B-K wiki by this point? Results May Vary (talk) 20:32, August 30, 2020 (EDT)

- Do you still have backup of the original B-K Wiki that you did? Looks like you originally did an Ace Attorney Wiki too. Do you have any plans on reviving that project too? Results May Vary (talk) 20:36, August 30, 2020 (EDT)
- Oh man, B-K FANDOM -- I'm still cleaning up their bad writing from the fork I did back in 2018.... Looks like Mario Wiki did loads of short-lived wiki projects back in the day. I'm impressed -- it's actually one of my main inspirations toward several of these wiki projects that I'm doing -- to basically reuse the potential that was once there and make it magic again. imo there should be a Mario Wiki for every wiki. I'm literally leading a wiki revolution to spread the Mario Wiki standard (while still accepting some differences, depending on wiki) to as many places as possible. Me & friends have a large stake in independent video game wikis in general. I'm prob going to make a link exchange network that's different from NIWA (and has no discord, website, or anything) to allow for general gaming wikis that either don't have an alternative or there's a NIWA wiki that doesn't meet the Mario Wiki quality standards. The network/link exchange -- i ensure that it won't rip off NIWA either (and will have nothing to do with them). This probably isn't a good place to say it, but I'm highly critical of NIWA and their incompetence (like why is a Gamepedia wiki in the alliance, even 2 years after being bought by Fandom). Results May Vary (talk) 20:43, August 30, 2020 (EDT)
- Yeah for the past 2 years I've wanted Mario Wiki everywhere. People think I'm a dictator for it, but I'm not -- I just want to make the world more awesome lol. Technically my style is a mix between Mario Wiki & pre-2011 wikis (including 2000s Wikipedia), but for platformer wikis (like Jiggywikki), def gotta do the Mario Wiki style. MarioWiki First! Kingdom Hearts Wiki links[edit]
When linking to subjects of the Kingdom Hearts series to another wiki, I would strongly suggest linking to Porplemontage's KH wiki rather than to Wikipedia or FANDOM. This can be done by linking like this: [[khwiki:Sora|Sora]]. Nightwicked Bowser 21:25, October 10, 2021 (EDT)
Kong Country[edit]
Hey, you created this redirect to Donkey Kong Island, can you specify where in the manual the name is used or cite it on the article? Mario JC 22:08, October 27, 2021 (EDT)
4koma[edit]
You created one article with the hyphen in "4-koma" and one without. Are there official romanisations for these series that I don't know about or was this unintentional? Mario JC 04:52, January 16, 2022 (EST)
ayooooo[edit]
Where you at bro, I miss you & your love for Krunch Results May Vary (talk) 09:37, January 31, 2022 (EST)
- Ty love you as a bro as well. This should've been done a LONG time ago but me & others have finally been working on MarioWiki-style wikis everywhere, particularly on franchises that have had connections/parallels to Mario (e.g. Zelda, Banjo, Final Fantasy, Crash Bandicoot, even SpongeBob). I read about Porple's scrapped Wiki Alliance on Userpedia, and what me & others have been doing is essentially a reimagining/resurrection of it. Results May Vary (talk) 09:31, February 11, 2022 (EST)
- I know what you mean -- I don't have anything major against N&B, but I know a lot of people were against it. There's never been a new Banjo-Kazooie game ever since, and it's hard for me to understand why, especially because a LOT of folks are eagerly awaiting Banjo to return to its platforming roots. And yeah, I get what you mean about being so busy nowadays, though I'm 24 and have been unemployed for 2 years. If ever I go back into employment, I'm not doing any more than 4 hours (for me, it's luckily a doable option). Thank you for supporting me & others' efforts with wikis. Nearly all Jiggywikki articles have been redone & cleaned up by a user named Magma. :) Results May Vary (talk) 07:48, February 16, 2022 (EST)

Met two ppl[edit]
I met Plumber and Beanbean 2 days ago. Are they old friends of yours? Results May Vary (talk) 23:25, April 11, 2022 (EDT)
- Oh wow, I did not know you thought they were sockpuppets back then. I have heard on Userpedia that D jokes were banned in IRC in 2007 or so because you said Porple too slow to type the letter D on his keyboard. What did you do that makes you think that you deserve such punishment? Also was it a dream of Mario Wiki community back in day to have several Mario Wiki-style wikis for like Zelda, Banjo, Kirby, Pokemon, etc? Results May Vary (talk) 09:14, April 12, 2022 (EDT)
- Yeah on the About page it says that Porple did not want to join NIWA, but the community insisted on it. Also, NIWA wikis are not in the style of Mario Wiki. I attempted to make WiKirby a MarioWiki-style wiki, but failed, and Lylat Wiki is kind of Mario Wiki style but not entirely. In other words, I've been at it with the wikis instead, and if they're more filled in, it's pretty much enough to replace NIWA. I've been involved with a lot more than just Jiggywikki and Triforce Wiki (the Zelda-style Mario Wiki). To list a few, there's Wiki of Mana, SSB Wiki (mostly derived from this wiki's SSB content; I even linked to it in a recent proposal that I did to demonstrate Smash Bros DOJO!! images category, which i proposed for this wiki as well), Pokemon Wiki, and Crash Bandicoot Wiki. Most recently, I've co-founded Metroidpedia (hopefully metroidpedia.com can become the domain some day).
- Also yeah, I still like to think of Banjo & Conker as related series to Donkey Kong. I want to make some fansite-inspired wiki named DK/Rare Universe to fill in for DK Wiki.com (my old home wiki, which I merged back into this wiki). It would be based on the perspective of how Rare tried to link their franchises through Stop n Swop, Tricky in Dinosaur Planet 64, etc. I dunno, it may not even happen. Results May Vary (talk) 13:33, April 18, 2022 (EDT)
IP address warnings[edit]
I should probably let you know that Super Mario Wiki does not permit the usage of warning templates to IP addresses and instead permits informal reminders instead. I know you're a senior member of this very wiki, so I recommend reading up on our policy pages, because there has been a lot of changes made to them. -- PanchamBro (talk • contributions) 03:41, June 17, 2022 (EDT)
- Even that is unnecessary if it's straight up vandalism like those IPs were doing, instead you should report on MarioWiki:Staff noticeboard for a member of staff to block. Nightwicked Bowser 07:34, June 17, 2022 (EDT)
Crazy Kong images[edit]
The images you uploaded for Crazy Kong are not official. The cabinet is from North America or Europe and they are all unofficial. I'm not sure if any official Japanese cabinets have survived. I think Nintendo may have ordered all of them destroyed after winning their lawsuit. That promo picture is for a bootleg Commodore 64 version which was uploaded before and deleted in 2019.--Platform (talk) 12:58, July 23, 2022 (EDT)
Commas[edit]
When using commas in apposition (phrases like "Nintendo developer Shigeru Miyamoto" or "the Wii game Super Mario Galaxy"), you don't use them if it's referring to one of many that exist of the same type (so "the Disney film, Hocus Pocus" and "American composer, Alan Silvestri" would be incorrect since this implies Hocus Pocus and Silvestri are the only Disney film and American composer respectively; same case with "Nintendo developer, Shigeru Miyamoto" and "the Wii game, Super Mario Galaxy"). If you're naming the only ones that fit the description, like "The composer for Forrest Gump, Alan Silvestri, [...]" or "The Mario brothers, Mario and Luigi, [...]", you'd use commas. Mario JC 23:32, August 5, 2022 (EDT)
Movie[edit]
Heyyy good jerb on all those SMB movie pages lately. Are you planning to do a page on Kenner's toyline? --Glowsquid (talk) 20:19, August 16, 2022 (EDT)
- Late on this but thanks for making the page! I've recently launched a project to improve the wiki's coverage of merchandise so I wondered if you'd prefer to add the toy stuff to the SMB movie characters page yourself or is it fine if someone else does it? --Glowsquid (talk) 14:00, September 5, 2022 (EDT)
