A '''mustache''' is a facial hair common in adults that [[Mario]], [[Luigi]], [[Wario]], and [[Waluigi]] have. Mario and Luigi's moustaches are meant to give them a Italian look, while Wario and Waluigi's are just a parody of Mario and Luigi's moustaches and thus are angular and unrealistic moustaches. Many other characters also have moustaches, like the [[Millennium Star]], the [[Eldstar]] and [[Toadsworth]].

In the [[Mario & Luigi (series)|''Mario & Luigi'' series]], Moustache, under the name of '''<nowiki>'</nowiki>Stache''', acts as a statistic in the game. It gives Mario, Luigi, [[Baby Mario]] and [[Baby Luigi]] better chances at getting a "Luck" shot in battle, and makes the prices of wares in shops lower.

Stache from Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time
STACHE shows a character's lucky mustache power. A bigger number means more lucky hits and better deals when shopping.”
Guide, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions

Stache (Horn for Bowser) is a unique statistic in the Mario & Luigi series, similar to Luck in other RPGs. It usually gives Mario, Luigi, Bowser, or Paper Mario better chances at getting a "Lucky" hit in battle, doubling the damage of their attacks. In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, it gives discounts to items bought at shops (down to half their usual price) and lets the Mario Bros. sell items at higher prices (up to 99% increase). Baby Mario and Baby Luigi also have this stat in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, despite not having mustaches. In Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, it affects the type of scratch card the player gets after purchasing items. Since none of these features are present in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, the stat is used only for lucky hits in said game, while in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, it increases the chances of enemies dropping items after battle in addition to its effect from the previous game. Mario & Luigi: Brothership, like Dream Team, only uses the stat for lucky hits. This stat can be increased through level ups (in Superstar Saga / + Bowser's Minions, Bowser's Inside Story / + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, Partners in Time, Dream Team, Paper Jam, and Brothership), Teehee Blends and Teeheespressos (only in Superstar Saga / + Bowser's Minions), and Stache/Flex Beans (introduced in Dream Team).

In Mario & Luigi: Brothership, if the player equips the Spirited Item Battle Plug, Candy can give a boost to Stache when consumed.
