Max-Mix Vortex
BP/SP/CP needed 12
Location Skorcheen Island
First appearance Mario & Luigi: Brothership (2024)
Brothership description Power the tornado using A Button for Mario and B Button for Luigi. Then use Left Stick to suck up enemies.

Max-Mix Vortex is Luigi's final Bros. Attack in Mario & Luigi: Brothership, given to him by Burnadette and Chilliam after collecting the power of their bond to fill the Bonding Can. This Bros. Attack costs 12 BP to initiate, and targets all enemies on the field.

Upon starting the attack, Mario and Luigi transform into Fire Mario and Ice Luigi. The player must press A Button to make Mario throw Fireballs on the tornado, and press B Button to make Luigi throw Ice Balls on the tornado. If the balls hit another of the same type, they will bounce out, while if they hit one of the opposite type, they will cancel each other out. Once the tornado is filled, Mario and Luigi do a spin jump in it so that they can then control and catch enemies in it to do damage.

Depending on the type and number of balls that make it up, the size and the type of the tornado will change. If it is mostly fireballs, it will become a fire tornado and have a Burn effect. If the tornado is mostly ice balls, it will become an ice tornado with an Ice effect. If there are a lot of both fire and ice balls, it will become a Bomb Tornado that deals extra damage.

The player can move the tornado towards the enemies with the Control Stick to snatch them into the air to damage them. Tapping X Button will keep the tornado going longer. The more balls that the tornado has, the greater the rating the player receives, ranging from "OK!" to "Excellent!" ratings.

This attack functions virtually the same after the windup as Luiginary Typhoon from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, using the Circle Pad/Control Stick to move the typhoon/tornado around while mashing B Button for the Luiginoids to hammer enemies or X Button for both bros to throw fire and ice balls at them.
