History[edit]

Super Mario series[edit]

Super Mario Bros. 3 / Super Mario All-Stars / Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3[edit]

Mega ? Blocks are objects in Super Mario Bros. 3. They are encountered in Giant Land mainly. In these levels, they mostly contain regular power-ups or coins. They also appear in bonus levels, where they can contain three 1-Up Mushrooms or one of the game's three Suits (the Tanooki, Frog, and Hammer Suits). In the Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 release only, Raccoon or Tanooki Mario can tail-whip Mega ? Blocks in normal courses.

New Super Mario Bros.[edit]

Mega ? Blocks are objects in New Super Mario Bros. They appear only found in Orange Toad Houses, where they give Mario or Luigi a Mega Mushroom.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii[edit]

Mega ? Blocks are objects in Super Mario Galaxy 2. They appear only in Supermassive Galaxy. Mega ? Blocks are used as platforms only, and they cannot be activated due to their large size.

New Super Mario Bros. U / New Super Luigi U / New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe[edit]

Mega ? Blocks are objects in New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and their shared port. They act as they do in Super Mario Bros. 3.

Super Mario 3D World / Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury[edit]

Mega ? Blocks are objects in Super Mario 3D World and its port. They are encountered in Bowser's Bob-omb Brigade and Super Block Land. A difference from earlier appearances is that their question marks are normal-sized. Hitting a Mega ? Block makes several giant Empty Blocks extend out of it, similarly to face blocks in Super Mario 3D Land, allowing the player to reach otherwise unreachable areas. In the port's Bowser's Fury mode, Mega ? Blocks are used to scale Clawswipe Colosseum after defeating Cat Boom Boom and Cat Pom Pom once.

Super Mario Run[edit]

One Mega ? Block appears in Super Mario Run. It can be purchased from the Shop as a building in the Kingdom Builder mode. It takes up a 2x2 area. When it is tapped, it provide a certain number of coins or Rally Tickets, then becomes an Empty Blocks with no effect for some time. Afterward, it returns to being a Mega ? Block. It is more likely to have more items than regular ? Blocks.

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3[edit]

Mega ? Blocks are objects in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. They appear in hidden areas and contain a 100 Coin. They share the same face design as the game's version of ? Blocks.

Mario Kart series[edit]

Mega ? Blocks are objects in the Mario Kart series. They are encountered in Grumble Volcano, a course in Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 8, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story / Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey[edit]

A Mega Block makes a background appearance in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its remake. Broque Monsieur has a Mega ? Block in his collection, but it cannot be used.

Paper Mario: Color Splash[edit]

Mega ? Blocks appear in Mondo Woods in Paper Mario: Color Splash. They are normal ? Blocks that were enchanted by Kamek.
