Mega ? Blocks are objects introduced in Super Mario Bros. 3. Aside from being larger, Mega ? Blocks are no different than ? Blocks.

History

Super Mario series

Super Mario Bros. 3 / Super Mario All-Stars / Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3

Mega ? Blocks are objects in Super Mario Bros. 3. They are encountered in Giant Land mainly. In these levels, they mostly contain regular power-ups or coins. They also appear in bonus levels, where they can contain three 1-Up Mushrooms or one of the game's three Suits (the Tanooki, Frog, and Hammer Suits). In the Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 release only, Raccoon or Tanooki Mario can tail-whip Mega ? Blocks in normal courses.

New Super Mario Bros.

Mega ? Blocks are objects in New Super Mario Bros. They appear only found in Orange Toad Houses, where they give Mario or Luigi a Mega Mushroom.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Mega ? Blocks are objects in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. They are encountered in World 6-5, floating on water.

Mega ? Blocks are objects in Super Mario Galaxy 2. They appear only in Supermassive Galaxy. Mega ? Blocks are used as platforms only, and they cannot be activated due to their large size.

New Super Mario Bros. U / New Super Luigi U / New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe

Mega ? Blocks are objects in New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and their shared port. They are the same as in New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Super Mario 3D World / Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury

Mega ? Blocks are objects in Super Mario 3D World and its port. They are encountered in Bowser's Bob-omb Brigade and Super Block Land. A difference from earlier appearances is that their question mark is the same size as those on ? Blocks. Hitting a Mega ? Block makes several giant Empty Blocks extend out of it, similarly to face blocks in Super Mario 3D Land, allowing the player to reach otherwise unreachable areas. In the port's Bowser's Fury mode, Mega ? Blocks are used to scale Clawswipe Colosseum after defeating Cat Boom Boom and Cat Pom Pom once.

Super Mario Run

Mega ? Blocks appear in Super Mario Run. They can be collected as buildings for Kingdom Builder.

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3

Mega ? Blocks are objects in Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3. They appear in hidden areas and contain a 100 Coin. They share the same face design as the game's version of ? Blocks.

Mario Kart series

Mega ? Blocks are objects in the Mario Kart series. They are encountered in Grumble Volcano, a course in Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 8, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story / Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey

A Mega Block makes a background appearance in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its remake. Broque Monsieur has a Mega ? Block in his collection, but it cannot be used.

Paper Mario: Color Splash

Mega ? Blocks appear in Mondo Woods in Paper Mario: Color Splash. They are normal ? Blocks that were enchanted by Kamek.
