- “That's a Doogan. He's really into pro fights. Obviously, he loves the Glitz Pit.”
- —Goombella, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Doogans are dog creatures in the Paper Mario series. The badge shop owner Rowf and his son Rhuff, who can be found in east Toad Town in Paper Mario, are the first Doogans to make an appearance. However, they are the only ones of their kind found in the game. The species had no name until Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, which portrays most Doogans as thugs that frequent Rogueport and the Glitz Pit.
