This article is about the shops in the Super Mario role-playing games. For the Item Shops in the Mario Party series, see Item Shop (Mario Party series). For the shop in Wario Land 4, see Item Shop (Wario Land 4).

Item Shops, also known as Tool Shops[1] or simply shops, are places where the characters of the Mushroom Kingdom and various other locations can buy and sell items and accessories. These appear in most Super Mario-based role-playing games. Various characters and heroes also purchase weapons and armors at Item Shops.

Most Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars and Paper Mario series shops are designated with a Fire Flower or Mushroom sign. Exceptions to this rule are Storehouse and Itty Bits.

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, clothing equipment shops are known as Fashion Houses[2] (also formatted as fashion houses).[3]

In Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, item shops can be found on each of the five planets and Cursa's stronghold and are run by SALESBOT 9.99+TX.
