Template:Species-infobox Spiky Gloombas (also known as Spiked Gloombas) are Gloombas with a spike on their head. Because they have a spike on their head, Mario will get hurt if he jumps on them, unless he has the Spike Shield. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, they appear in the Pit of 100 Trials in the Rogueport Sewers. They are much tougher than a regular Spiked Goomba. This Goomba variety, along with the Hyper Spiky Goomba, is the strongest in the game.

Tattle That's a Spiky Gloomba. It's a Spiky Goomba that likes dark places. Max HP is 7, Attack is 4, and Defense is 0. Its Attack is pretty high, huh? I'm sure you know this, but try not to jump on the spike. I wonder if I'd look like that if I stayed down here long enough? ...I'd rather not think about that. Are there tanning salons in Rogueport?
