The Cave People are native humans of Dinosaur World that appear in most episodes of the Super Mario World animated series. They resemble the prehistoric peoples of Earth. The Cave People are generally rather short and stubby in appearance, often having long hair. In addition, Cave People primarily speak typical caveman gibberish, though there are some that are able to speak intelligibly, albeit in incomplete sentences. Cave People are portrayed as somewhat unintelligent. The only notable Cave Person is Oogtar, whose role is similar to that of Toad from The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! and The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3; additionally, Oogtar and Toad share the same voice actor, John Stocker.

In The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "Quest for Pizza", Caveman Land was home to primitive Mushroom People. However, one human named Mugga coexists with them.
