- Plum's shoes were depicted completely white in her official artwork, although they are brown and white in the Nintendo 64 game and for her trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and in the Game Boy Color version of Mario Golf, they were red.
- Plum's hair is dark brown in both the official artwork and in the Nintendo 64 game, although in the Game Boy Color version, it is red due to the 8-bit color restrictions.
