Talk:Plum
Princess Daisy?[edit]
Exactly where is anyone getting information saying that Plum was replaced by Princess Daisy? Saying that Plum was replaced by Daisy is just someone's opinion, but Plum and Daisy are in no way related to each other, despite the fact that they are both Mario characters. Saying that Plum was replaced by Daisy is not true in any case. Plum has nothing to do with Daisy at all. She's just one of the golfers exclusive to Mario Golf who might be possibly inspired after some professional golfers (but it is unknown to whether or not if they were inspired after anyone). Plum was never intended to appear in Mario Tennis, it was Nintendo's decision to bring back Daisy after being absent for a long time after her appearances in Super Mario Land and NES Open Tournament Golf respectively. --PrincessDaisyFanatic3883 01:50, 27 March 2012 (EDT)

- This is interesting, and would make a fair amount of sense, but as far as I can find there's no actual truth to it. I've been combing through the old Camelot site and couldn't find any mention of such a relationship (or even a profile for Plum at all), plus Azalea was introduced almost a full year before Daisy's return to the franchise. I kinda want it to be true though so if anyone can actually find the source I'd appreciate it, haha. SuperDragonRosalina (talk) 19:34, 28 July 2018 (EDT)
- Actually that's DidYuoKnowGaming, which is a parody of DidYouKnowGaming that makes random crud up, most of which is obviously false (ie "Super Mario 64 was the 64th Mario game.") Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:35, 28 July 2018 (EDT)
- Oh I know, but a lot of them are still based around real facts, and it seems to be a fairly widespread rumor besides that - must have started somewhere, right? As I said it seems to be completely untrue, but on the off chance there's even a shred of truth to it that would be a neat thing to uncover. Mostly wishful thinking but, y'know. - Widespread rumors go on List of rumors and urban legends about Mario. But even then, you have to support that claim that "it seems to be a fairly widespread rumor". I'd like evidence and something worth writing about. If we can't find evidence where it started, well, we just have to look for earliest mentions and discussions about, no easy feat. It's me, Mario!
