Ronny Putter, more commonly and informally referred to as Co-MC, is the co-host of the Club Mario segments aired during The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! He is played by Michael Rawlins.

Co-MC is one of two main characters featured in the show, the other being Tommy Treehugger, his friend, with whom he often discusses the upcoming Mario or Zelda cartoon, often dressing appropriate to the theme. As opposed to Tommy's California surfer persona, Co-MC adapts more of a hip-hop/house music character. Together, they often watch Spaced Out Theater or review recent films.

Evil Eric, Co-MC's evil twin brother, bothers Tommy whenever Co-MC is gone. Whenever this occurs, Tommy usually becomes confused before receiving a message from the producer informing him that he had gone to the dentist or submitted a vacation request. Occasionally, Co-MC himself calls to inform Tommy that he has skipped work to enjoy one of his favored activities, such as surfing, playing tennis, and dating. Despite Tommy also enjoying these activities, he often admonishes him for ditching the show prior to Evil Eric crashing the set.

Unlike Tommy, Co-MC possibly takes his responsibilities in a slightly more serious manner. For instance, in a pirate-themed Mario episode, he dons a pirate attire while Tommy pretends to be a parrot looking over his shoulder. When Tommy complains about playing the parrot, Co-MC chafes him, saying it is his own fault for having not attended the meeting.

Sometimes, the two perform another sketch, "Are You Bogus?", in which the duo attempts to figure someone out. They are often fooled at first prior to recalling a fact that does not add up.

Naming

Co-MC's name is a pun on the word "co-emcee." The word "emcee" is an informal term to refer to a master of ceremonies; as such, "co-emcee" literally means "co-master of ceremonies," reflecting his status as a co-star on Club Mario, along with Tommy Treehugger. His name may also be a reference to American rapper MC Hammer, known for popular songs such as "U Can't Touch This" and "2 Legit 2 Quit"; this is supported in the Club Mario segment for The Legend of Zelda episode "Cold Spells," where Tommy learns that he is at a barbecue at MC Hammer's house.
