Doug's Health Club is an alias for a pair of characters appearing in the Saturday Supercade episode "The Great Ape Escape." They are two inmates who long to escape the state prison they serve time in.

They first appear while they hammer rocks, wishing they have someone muscular to relieve them. At that very moment, Donkey Kong comes in and hammers all the rocks, relieving them of their work. Sensing that Donkey Kong is key to their escape, they trick him into believing that they are health instructors at Doug's Health Club, and detail their American football game escape plan to him.

In preparation for their escape, the duo practices passing the football to Donkey Kong. Though it is a shaky start (Donkey Kong even swallows the ball on the first pass), Donkey Kong eventually becomes more proficient at the sport.

During the game, the duo (whose team is already winning the game 67-0) along with Donkey Kong carry out their escape plan after the next hike. A last-ditch attempt by Mario and Pauline to stop them fails, and they use the goalpost to fling themselves over the prison wall.

The duo along with Donkey Kong are eventually caught via a spotlight. Pauline then tells Donkey Kong that the duo are actually criminals, not health instructors. Angry that he had been lied to, Donkey Kong rips out the ladder the duo is climbing, bends it into a dual cage, and tosses it into a prison truck.
