Greater location Istanbul
“The Blue Mosque is the only temple in Turkey with six minarets, or prayer towers. The Blue Mosque is not blue at all. It takes that name from the tiles that line the walls and floors. When the sun pours through the 260 stained glass windows, the chambers shimmer in beautiful blue light. The mosque is also well-known for its gigantic size. It is a masterpiece of Turkish architecture.”
