Makichī (マキチー), more commonly known as Maki (マキ), is a character in the Bakuso King Dojo section of the Japanese Mario Kart Arcade GP DX website and Master Tetsu's daughter. She has amaranth red hair and wears black and purple clothing. She is first mentioned in Episode 5 when Yūji says that he was beaten by his rival, a player named Makichī, in a National Battle race. She makes her first physical appearance in the next episode, in which she presents herself as Maki; Yūji never realizes that Makichī and Maki are the same person.

Maki acts as a substitute instructor in the series, teaching Yūji and Fukusuke when Master Tetsu is away from the dojo. She is very knowledgeable about the game's courses, even stating at one point that she made a detailed map of Splash Circuit's layout herself.
