- “Once stepping through the doors of the United Nations, a visitor officially leaves the United States and is on neutral territory. Located on the banks of the East River, the UN Complex was built in 1946 on land donated by the financier, John D. Rockefeller. The UN houses an international committee dedicated to world peace. Meetings are simulataneously interpreted into many languages. The plaza contains the flags of the 159 present members, arranged in English alphabetical order.”
- —Pamphlet, Mario is Missing! (PC)
The United Nations Plaza is the headquarters of United Nations located in the Turtle Bay neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, United States. Through an agreement treaty through the US government, the land converted into an international territory.[1]
In the PC versions of Mario is Missing!, a Koopa Troopa stole the U.S. Flag, forcing the plaza to close. Until Luigi returns the flag, the curator grants him the reward and reopens the plaza.
