First appearance Mario is Missing! (1992)

The Klaft of the Sphinx is a part of the Sphinx near Cairo. Specifically, a klaft, also known as a khat, is an ancient Egyptian cloth headdress. However, as part of a statue, the Klaft of the Sphinx is made of sandstone.

In the PC, SNES, and NES versions of Mario is Missing!, it is stolen by Koopa Troopas to fund Bowser's plan to melt Antarctica, and must be returned by Luigi.
