(Some of these articles read too much like abridged Wikipedia articles. Thinking by once and only once policy, Lent is mentioned in one of the trivia questions, and the context of Fri-Tues doesn't apply to the context of the Super Mario franchise.) |

- “Carnival is Rio's biggest party. Like New Orleans' Mrdi Gras, Carnival Rio is a period of feasting and festival just before Lent in early spring. With an emphasis on costume and dancing, a giant parade moves up the city's main street, Avenida Presidente Vargas, and lasts far into the night or the next day. Outrageous hats and headdresses are a festival favorite, as each partygoer tries to out-do the others. Samba, the national music and dance of Brazil, is a main ingredient of the holiday celebration.”
- —Pamphlet, Mario is Missing! (PC)
The Carnival appears in the PC version of Mario is Missing! as the place where a Koopa Troopa stole the carnival headdress. It is the main festivity in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil,[1] though it is forced to close until Luigi returns the headdress, the curator grants him the reward and reopens the carnival.
