Only two KP Koopas are encountered; they and a single KP Paratroopa are all members of the Glitz Pit fighting team, the KP Koopas. It is explicitly stated that KP Koopas have the same abilities as normal Koopa Troopas, and they differ merely in coloration. As the Gold Star, KP Koopas are called "Gold Koopas" in French and Italian; whereas, they are never referred to having yellow shells in any version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
