A boleadoras[sic] appears in the Super Mario franchise as an item in PC, SNES, and NES versions of Mario is Missing!. The Boleadoras is a lasso-like throwing weapon used by gauchos, with weights on the end of cords that connect at a single point. Luigi has to recover the Boleadoras after it had been stolen by Koopa Troopas from the Gaucho Museum in Buenos Aires.
