Greater location Kathmandu
“Asan Tole is the heart of Old City Kathmandu. The large, open-air rice market is home to three important temples, as well as being the main place to hire rickshaws and porters. The most interesting temple is the all-metal Annapurna Shrine. Passersby ring the bell which hangs from one of its three roofs. This is the customary way to pay homage to the holy place, which has neither statues nor traditional stone images. Instead, the Annapurna shrine[sic] houses a kalasha, or sacred pot.”
Pamphlet, Mario is Missing! (PC)

Asan Tol (असन टोल), spelled Asan Tole ingame, is a bazaar in Kathmandu that serves as a mercantile and religious hub. In the DOS versions of Mario is Missing!, Koopa Troopas steal a Rickshaw from the square, forcing it to close to the public until Luigi returns it and proves its authenticity by answering two questions.
