Petal Guys[1] (originally known as Mufti Guys[2]) are enemies introduced in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island These Shy Guys wear flowers on their head to disguise themselves, and their petals can come in different colors.
History
Yoshi's Island series
Mufti Guys are enemies in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and its reissue. A Petal Guy's behavior involves it crouching down, using the flowers on its head to disguise itself as a flowerbed, so that when a Yoshi approaches, the Petal Guy begins trying to harm him.
Petal Guys are enemies in both sequels, Yoshi's Island DS and Yoshi's New Island. Both games include only the red-robed variation, though the latter game features artwork for the green-robed variant. In Yoshi's New Island, Petal Guys appear in Don't Fear the Spear only.

A Petal Guy is a character in Mario Party Advance. He has a role in the Shroom City mode, where he is in love with Flutter. When the player arrives at the Petal House, Petal Guy asks the player to deliver his poem to Flutter.
