List of costumes in Yoshi's Crafted World

In each world in Yoshi's Crafted World, Yoshi can spend coins on a capsule machine to receive random capsules containing costumes, which Yoshi can wear to protect himself against enemies. The costumes come in three rarities: normal, rare, and super rare; indicated by the color of the capsules: green, red, and gold, respectively. The rarer the costume is, the more durability it has. Normal costumes can withstand up to three enemy hits, rare costumes four, and super rare costumes five. After the costume's durability has worn out, it disappears for the remainder of the level.

Each capsule machine contains six normal costumes, three rare costumes, and one super rare costume, with the price increasing as Yoshi progresses to each world. However, there is finite amount of costumes in each machine; the player cannot gain duplicates and will always obtain all ten of a machine's costumes after ten tokens are used, thus meaning that all costumes have an equal chance of being won. Occasionally, the player is permitted a token for one free capsule. After all of the capsules from a capsule machine have been dispensed, a ribbon is placed on the machine, marking it as "complete."

Special costumes can also be unlocked using compatible amiibo. By scanning any Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Toad, Bowser, Koopa Troopa, or Yoshi's Woolly World amiibo, the player can unlock costumes designed after the corresponding amiibo's character. Scanning any other amiibo unlocks the amiibo Box, a costume based on the amiibo's packaging. These costumes have the same durability as super rare costumes, though they are not mandatory in gaining a gold star for collecting every costume in the game.

List

There are 170 costumes that are obtained from the capsule machines and 12 obtained from scanning amiibo. Additionally, three costumes are found by fully completing the game; one for beating all levels, one for collecting all of the Smiley Flowers in the game and giving them to a Torque in Hidden Hills, and one for finding each one of Sprout's hiding spots, thus making for a total of 185 costumes.

A total of 30,000 coins need to be spent to obtain all capsule costumes.
