Coal appears in Mario Party Advance as a key item. At the Train Station, Shy Guy asks the player to deliver some Coal to him, no longer having any for his trains. Coal can bought from the Vending Machines, and returning to give the Coal to Shy Guy earns the player the Cake Maker Gaddget.

Naming
Its name is a play on "cola" because they are obtainable from the Vending Machines.
