Refreshing Herbs are items in the Mario & Luigi series used to get rid of any status ailments on the playable character, such as Poison or Fury. Refreshing Herbs resemble four-leaf clovers, and they can generally be bought in shops for low prices. They can also occasionally be found in ? Blocks.

In Mario & Luigi: Brothership exclusively, they can be used to substitute an Ampberry, attempting to cure the Glohm status effect with a 50% rate of success.

In EarthBound, items called Refreshing Herbs have exactly the same name and function as in the Mario & Luigi series, although they resemble flowering tree branches instead of four-leaf clovers.

History[edit]

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga / Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions[edit]

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Refreshing Herbs are sold at Castle Town Item Shop and Little Fungitown Item Shop from the first visit, and one can be purchased for 30 coins.

Refreshing Herbs can also be found from certain enemies, which have a chance of dropping a Refreshing Herb when defeated. Regardless of which version of the game is played, Fuzzbushes, Yellow Viruses, Pestnuts on the Seabed, and Puffer-Cheeps can drop Refreshing Herbs.
