Mel is a speedy-type character from Union that appears in Mario Tennis: Power Tour. She is one of the many human characters who were created as playable characters exclusively for the Mario Tennis series. She also bears a resemblance to Chun-Li from Capcom's Street Fighter series. In the Island Open, Mel loses in the first round to Willy, while in doubles, she and her partner, Chas, lose to Clay and Ace in the first round. Her Offensive Power Shot is the Slider Shot and her Defensive Power Shot is the High-Jump Save.
