Mount Royal is a mountain in the city of Montreal, Canada. The city, Montreal, means 'royal mount', deriving its name from the mountain itself. According to a boy, it is 764 feet tall. A police officer mentions that 158 bulbs burned out on the mountain.

Luigi can visit the mountain's information booth in the NES version of Mario is Missing! Prior to the events of the game, a Koopa Troopa stole an important stone, forcing the mountain's information booth to close. Luigi's task was to find and return it, for which he was rewarded 2,000 dollars.
