Species Bob-omb
First appearance Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (2004)

Bomberto is a Bob-omb sailor from the game Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. His name is a pun on "bomb" and the Italian/Spanish name "Roberto". According to Goombella, Bomberto has a lot of muscles, despite the fact he is a walking bomb. In the game, Bomberto placed a trouble request at the Trouble Center. His trouble was that his wife had bought a lunchbox for him, but it was empty, and the sailor was hungry. Mario had to give Bomberto any food item to solve his trouble, which yielded eleven Coins.

  • "That's Bomberto, a Bob-omb sailor. He's small, but he's a super-hard worker. He doesn't just sail, either! He loads and unloads stuff, too! Look at those muscles!"
