Sylvia is a character from Mario Tennis: Power Tour. She holds the second rank in Junior Class doubles at the Academy before she is beaten by Clay and Ace. At first, she is condescending towards the player, stating that their doubles team is not strong enough to challenge hers, but once Clay and Ace get ranked, she is instantly impressed with them. When facing Ace and Clay, she claims that she saw their talent all along. Her doubles team focuses too much on the player's partner, who is in senior class, not seeing the talent after all. Afterwards she is a lot more friendly, even pointing out her doubles partner's problems through the course of the game. Her sprite animation implies that her face naturally squints and winces into something like an odd smile from the bright sun, which may be a piece of why she has been stuck where she is for what seems like at least a year or two (not able to see the ball as well). She is a speedy-type character and her doubles partner is Sasha. She also mentions that Sasha is only really motivated when it is Island Open time, confiding in the player that she wants to go after a senior ranking, but that Sasha's lack of interest in leaving junior class and fickle attitude towards practice is holding her back.
