That's an Arantula. It's a spiderlike creature that lives deep underground. Max HP is 16, Attack is 7, and Defense is 0. Yeah... It's pretty tough. It'll spit web-wads at you. Sometimes it even attacks several times in a row. That coloring freaks me out. ...I'm kinda scared of spiders. So let's do this quickly!!

An Arantula is a black spider-like creature that lives in the Pit of 100 Trials in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Arantulas are relatives of Piders, and are even named similarly: the Pider's name is "spider" without the "S", and Arantula comes from "tarantula", without the "T". They attack in the same way that Piders do, just with more powerful attacks.

In Super Paper Mario there is a Sammer Guy called "Hairy Arantula in the Grass". His name is a reference to the Arantula.
