“Meeeeeeeeeeeork! Hey, you suspicious types! This is our place. And coming in here is rude, rude, RUDE! Sorry, suckers! If you want a warm welcome, too bad! Now I lunch on your head!”
Gold Fuzzy, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

The Gold Fuzzy is a gold-colored Fuzzy that resides in Shhwonk Fortress, acting as a boss in that area in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door along with its Nintendo Switch remake. It attacks Mario and Goombella for barging into their territory. During battle, upon losing 3 HP, the Gold Fuzzy summons a Fuzzy Horde, which can be attacked; however, defeating the Gold Fuzzy drives the Fuzzy Horde away. After the battle, the Gold Fuzzy is not seen again in the game.

As Goombella explains, the Gold Fuzzy does not drain Mario's HP.

Tattle That's a Gold Fuzzy. Whoa, those are super-rare! I'm serious! Wow! Max HP is 10, Attack is 1, and Defense is 0. Oh, but hey! Even though it's a Fuzzy, it won't suck up your HP, which is nice. I have to wonder though... How does this thing hide? Look at it! It's so gaudy!

Trivia

  • Their artwork from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is seen in the back of the official Super Paper Mario guide, but they do not actually appear in the game. However, updated assets are left over in the game, and were renamed from c_chorobon_k to e_chorobon_y, suggesting that they were intended to be repurposed ("k" referring to either kin, Japanese for gold, or possibly "king" as it was a boss, and "y" likely referring to the color yellow). A miniaturized version also appears in the texture data for Francis's models,[11] but it does not appear among them in-game, not even layered behind.
