X-Naut PhD, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

X-Naut PhDs are expert X-Naut scientists, as the name implies ("PhD" stands for Doctor of Philosophy, which is generally recognized as the highest university degree obtainable). These X-Nauts wear lab coats and blue uniforms. They are usually responsible for building the inventions the other X-Nauts use for their plans, such as the Magnus von Grapple mech suits, and are also the creators of the Yux species. In battle, they attack by throwing chemicals at Mario and his team; additionally, they can drink potions to make themselves Dodgy or to heal. An X-Naut PhD also appears in the final Bowser intermission level, World 3, where it throws chemicals at Bowser in a similar manner to Hammer Bros.
